Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and intraoral images.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and infection-free clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., OpenDental, Dexis, Eaglesoft).
- Valid North Carolina dental assisting license.
