Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs.
- Guide patients through the dental process, ensuring comfort and understanding.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and handle insurance paperwork accurately.
- Enforce strict sterilization and infection control protocols at all times.
- Order dental supplies and manage inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California.
- CPR and BLS certification required.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, materials, and terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work well in a fast-paced team setting.
- Experience with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required.
