Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-in/out processes using advanced digital systems
- Schedule appointments across multiple specialties via EMR software
- Verify insurance coverage and process billing documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records with HIPAA-compliant systems
- Coordinate with clinical teams for seamless patient flow
- Handle incoming calls and triage urgent requests
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment between patients
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year medical reception experience
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid California driver's license
