Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiography) according to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Dental Assisting from an accredited program.
- Valid Oklahoma State Board of Dentistry license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical dental setting preferred.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
