Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, preventative procedures, and complex surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring instruments and materials are properly sterilized and organized.
- Take and develop high-quality digital or analog dental radiographs (X-rays) following strict safety protocols.
- Greet patients, update medical histories, and prepare them for procedures to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Manage patient records, including charting, filing, and maintaining accurate digital documentation.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
Qualifications
- Current State of Tennessee Dental Assistant License (RDH or CDA) required.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting (1+ years preferred but entry-level candidates with internship experience considered).
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and sterilization techniques.
- Proficiency with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
