Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments for patients of all ages
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients and families regarding symptoms and care urgency
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams for critical case escalations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and emergency protocols
- Delicate patient education on home care and follow-up instructions
- Manage high call volumes during peak hours with exceptional efficiency
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (active)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
- Ability to work independently in high-stress environments
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
