Responsibilities
- Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry during exams and procedures.
- Diagnostics: Perform and process dental X-rays (Panoramic and Periapical) in strict accordance with state regulations.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization protocols for instruments and treatment rooms, ensuring compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Patient Management: Greet patients, update medical histories, and guide them through the check-in process.
- Clinical Support: Prepare materials for procedures, take impressions, and perform temporary crown fabrication.
- Post-Operative Care: Provide clear instructions to patients regarding post-procedure care and oral hygiene.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Licensure: Current Nevada Dental Radiography License and valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience: 1-3 years of clinical experience in a dental setting is preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern digital imaging technology.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to work well in a high-paced team environment.
