Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital imaging technology
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient patient care
- Provide chairside assistance during procedures including suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient monitoring
- Take impressions and pour models for restorative and orthodontic cases
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant (RDA) license or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity
