Responsibilities
- Prepare Treatment Rooms: Ensure all instruments, equipment, and materials are properly sterilized and ready for patient procedures.
- Patient Care: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, update charts, and process insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Dental Radiography: Take and develop high-quality X-rays (Panoramic, Periapical) following strict safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to maintain a clean and sterile clinic environment.
- Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA) or Radiology certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and four-handed dentistry.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to sterilization and record-keeping.
- Licensure: Valid CPR/BLS certification required.
