Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with precision and care.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital images for diagnostic purposes.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts accurately, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene and home care.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout all dental procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program (or equivalent experience).
- DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and staff effectively.
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
