Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and clinical procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, sterile environment.
- Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (Radiography) and intraoral photographs.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and answer phone inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient dental charts and medical histories.
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and materials.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent diploma from an accredited program.
- Current Minnesota State Dental Assistant Licensure.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as chair-side assisting.
