Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, post-care instructions, and health maintenance.
- Document patient data accurately and in a timely manner within electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina (or compact state eligibility).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience (acute care preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug screen.
