Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry and oral surgery
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and chairside charting with precision
- Administer infection control protocols and maintain sterile operatory environments
- Perform laboratory tasks including pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure seamless clinic operations
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
- Current DANB certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Tennessee Dental Assistant Radiology Permit required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
- CPR certification maintained throughout employment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
