Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentist: Provide chair-side assistance during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and update patient health histories accurately.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform vital signs, take digital X-rays, and prepare treatment areas with necessary instruments and materials.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to ensure a sterile environment for all patients and staff.
- Office Management: Manage appointment scheduling, file insurance claims, and assist with front desk duties when necessary.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current DANB certification or state licensure in Tennessee required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern radiography techniques.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Certifications: Current CPR and BLS certification is mandatory.
