Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including fillings, crowns, and extractions
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant treatment rooms
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays using digital imaging systems
- Prepare dental materials and ensure optimal operatory setup
- Manage patient records using practice management software
- Provide post-op instructions and compassionate patient education
- Coordinate sterilization protocols and inventory management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle small instruments
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn dental software
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Current CPR certification (can be obtained post-hire)
- No prior dental experience required – training provided
