Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments and materials, ensuring strict sterilization protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (panoramic and periapical) as directed by the dentist.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts and maintaining accurate medical histories.
- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring models and trimming stones.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and ensure patient comfort.
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- No prior dental assisting experience necessary; we will train the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (e.g., lifting patients, bending).
- Basic computer literacy is a plus.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
