Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiographs) and impressions as required.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and insurance documentation.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and notify the office manager of shortages.
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a comfortable waiting area environment.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA) or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- CPR and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Proficiency with dental software and digital radiography is a plus.
