Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any side effects or missed doses to the supervising nurse.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in social activities to improve their mental well-being and reduce isolation.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) as directed by the care plan.
- Transportation: Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings using company-provided equipment.
- Care Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of patient care and services rendered.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Texas.
- Training: Completion of a state-approved HHA training program is preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Driver’s License: Valid, current driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
