Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist during examinations, surgeries, and hygiene appointments with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and dental impressions accurately for diagnostic purposes.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and treatment plans to ensure compliance and comfort.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and the reception area.
- Manage patient records and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems promptly.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Proven experience (1-2+ years) in a general dentistry or specialty practice setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
