Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental impressions and process X-rays using digital radiography
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain precise digital records
- Provide chairside support and ensure patient comfort throughout visits
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Train new staff on clinical workflows and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Strong attention to detail in infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
