Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation to ensure a safe living environment.
- Monitor and record patient health status, reporting any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with prescribed treatments as directed.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to medical appointments and recreational activities when necessary.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation (for client travel).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not required.
