Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, crowns, and oral surgery
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Implement strict sterilization protocols to maintain OSHA compliance
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage digital charting and practice management software accurately
- Support front desk operations including scheduling and billing when needed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-ray) and sterilization techniques
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Arizona dental radiography permit
