Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including endodontics and oral surgery
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and digital charting using Eaglesoft software
- Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education materials
- Inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a specialty practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control standards
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
