Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Manage patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Take accurate dental impressions and process digital radiographs
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring (certification preferred)
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
- Delieve patient education on oral hygiene procedures
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant certification (DANB or ODA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft practice management software
- Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- X-ray certification (Oregon Board approved)
