Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and dental procedures.
- Assist the dentist chairside during treatments.
- Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral photos.
- Manage strict infection control protocols and sterilization.
- Perform vital signs and update patient medical histories.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient benefits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
- Current and active California Dental Assistant license.
- 2+ years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred).
