Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using 4-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are properly sterilized and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital images.
- Manage patient intake, update medical histories, and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
- Perform strict infection control procedures and maintain a clean, sanitary clinic environment.
- Schedule patient appointments, send reminders, and assist with insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in California.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Experience with digital radiography and modern dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume dental practice.
- High school diploma or GED required; dental assisting diploma preferred.
