Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a sterile environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and perform other diagnostic imaging duties.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle billing and insurance claims accurately.
- Provide chair-side support, ensuring instruments are ready and anticipating the doctor's needs.
- Foster a welcoming and calming atmosphere for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current and active RDA or LDA license in the state of Arizona.
- Certification in radiography (X-ray) is required.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry practice is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
