Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort.
- Preparation & Sterilization: Properly prepare instruments, hand pieces, and materials for procedures; maintain strict sterilization protocols.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as directed by the dentist.
- Patient Management: Greet patients, update medical histories, and explain treatment plans clearly to alleviate anxiety.
- Operational Support: Manage appointment scheduling, handle insurance verification, and maintain accurate patient records in the practice management software.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Nevada Dental Assistant license (RDA).
- Certifications: Current Radiology certification and CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern dental technology.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
