Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms according to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Perform chairside assisting duties, including suctioning, retracting, and applying rubber dams.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide clear post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Dental Assistant License (RDA or DA).
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in dental software and radiography techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to downtown Seattle.
