Your Mission:
To ensure the highest level of comfort and care for our patients while supporting the clinical efficiency of our dental team.
Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are properly prepared and sterilized.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, prepare them for procedures, and provide post-operative instructions to ensure a smooth recovery.
- Diagnostics: Perform and process dental X-rays (Radiography) and take impressions of teeth as directed by the dentist.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines to maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), schedule appointments, and handle billing inquiries.
- Oral Health Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide information about preventative care.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels of dental materials and order supplies as needed to prevent operational downtime.
Qualifications
- Education: Certificate or Associate degree in Dental Assisting from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current Washington State Dental Assistant license (RDA) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and ability to operate intraoral cameras and digital X-ray machines.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
