Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Chair-side assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and set up instruments and materials required for dental procedures.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including dental histories and treatment plans.
- Imaging: Perform and process dental X-rays (radiographs) and other diagnostic images as directed by the dentist.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance coverage, and assist with billing processes.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Washington State RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software and radiography techniques.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid CPR certification and BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team members.
- Attendance: Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.
