Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, surgeries, and hygiene appointments with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop digital X-rays, impressions, and study models as directed.
- Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene techniques, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating electronic health records (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Maintain a welcoming and organized front desk environment when not chairside.
Qualifications
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new grads with externships are encouraged to apply.
