Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take dental radiographs and perform infection control protocols
- Manage patient records using dental software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
- Coordinate with front desk for smooth patient flow
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification
- X-ray certification (KY State Board approved)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with dental software
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
