Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient charts and maintain accurate digital records
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply organization
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure seamless office operations
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license (IL state)
- Minimum 2 years clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital X-ray systems (Dexis/Sidexis)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
