Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain optimal infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take precise dental impressions and process digital radiographs using advanced imaging systems
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies while maintaining cost efficiency
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on clinic protocols and patient care standards
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure seamless patient flow and appointment management
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Certification or Radiology License
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and practice management software
- CPR certification and knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with multilingual capabilities (English/Spanish preferred)
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Experience with dental materials including amalgam, composites, and impression materials
