Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Manage sterilization and infection control for all equipment and instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Provide chairside assistance during complex restorative and surgical procedures
- Delicate patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent) required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a general dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
