As a key member of our Emergency Services department, you'll be the first point of contact for patients experiencing medical emergencies. Your critical assessment skills will ensure timely and appropriate care coordination, directly improving patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity level and prioritize care in emergency settings
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff regarding patient conditions
- Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide telehealth triage support for remote patient consultations
- Coordinate patient flow through the ED, including bed assignments and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on emergency care protocols and follow-up instructions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Ohio
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
