Responsibilities
- Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort throughout their visit.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization protocols and cross-infection control measures in the operatory.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as directed by the dentist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and order dental supplies, ensuring the operatory is always well-stocked.
- Administrative Support: Handle patient charts, update medical histories, and process insurance claims accurately.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of Texas.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Dental Assistant certification preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical dental setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficient in 4-handed dentistry, coronal polishing, and taking accurate impressions.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some evenings.
