Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and crown placements
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and patient comfort
- Execute sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards per OSHA guidelines
- Capture and develop diagnostic X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials for efficient clinical workflow
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience (new graduates welcome with training)
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona preferred)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- California dental radiography license (or ability to obtain immediately)
