Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols following OSHA standards
- Take accurate dental radiographs and maintain digital patient records
- Manage patient scheduling and coordinate treatment plans
- Prepare operatory setups and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene procedures
- Assist in emergency dental situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in digital imaging software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in charting and documentation
- Positive attitude and commitment to team collaboration
