Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure optimal image quality
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize all instruments/equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and digital impressions
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate with front desk staff for seamless patient flow and scheduling
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB/CDA) in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental infection control standards
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent (Dental Assisting degree preferred)
