Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, and materials accurately before patient appointments.
- Perform intraoral X-rays and process images digitally using our advanced imaging software.
- Manage patient records, update digital charts, and handle insurance verification with precision.
- Guide patients through the intake process, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Dental Assistant License (RDH or DANB Certified preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and dental software (e.g., OpenDental, Eaglesoft).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
