Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA compliance across all equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Coordinate patient flow and manage digital scheduling systems
- Perform chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting
Qualifications
- Minnesota Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR certification and current BLS certification
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
