Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform accurate dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper sterilization protocols
- Manage patient flow, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Take precise dental impressions and fabricate temporary crowns/bridges
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Document clinical notes accurately in digital dental software (Epic/Dentrix)
- Coordinate with front desk team to optimize scheduling and patient experience
Qualifications
- Active RDA license or X-ray certification in California
- 2+ years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography (panoramic, bitewing, periapical)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- CPR/BLS certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Experience with digital imaging and practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to calm anxious patients
- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification preferred
