Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage patient flow, sterilize instruments, and maintain operatory cleanliness per OSHA standards
- Perform digital X-rays and intraoral imaging using advanced equipment
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models for lab work
- Manage inventory ordering and supply chain for clinical materials
- Provide chairside support during sedation dentistry procedures
- Deliver post-operative care instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (TN state)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- CPR/BLS certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Valid TN driver's license and reliable transportation
