Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Provide chairside support during complex procedures
- Train new dental assistants on clinic protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or RDA license in California
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sidexis) and infection control
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and equipment
- Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish language skills preferred
