Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure clinical areas are sanitized and stocked
- Assist dentists during examinations and complex treatments (e.g., crowns, extractions)
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate treatment plans and post-op instructions with patients
- Maintain strict OSHA compliance and infection control protocols
- Support front desk operations when needed (scheduling, billing)
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DALECC or DANB preferred)
- 2+ years of chairside experience in a general dentistry practice
- Proficiency in radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and equipment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Valid North Carolina dental radiology permit
