Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography and interpret diagnostic images
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models for prosthetics
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage digital patient records and scheduling systems
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography and imaging software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
