Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA guidelines
- Take dental impressions and develop X-rays accurately
- Manage patient records using digital charting systems
- Provide post-op instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order supplies and maintain inventory for clinical efficiency
- Coordinate with front desk for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Florida
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional Saturdays
