Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory facilities while maintaining chain of custody
- Utilize remote scheduling tools to coordinate patient appointments and sample collection
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation protocols
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations
- Train patients on pre-test preparation procedures via virtual consultations
- Collaborate with lab teams through secure digital communication platforms
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- 1+ years of clinical blood collection experience
- Proficiency in telehealth software and remote work technologies
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- Valid Arizona state phlebotomy license
